MYRIAD: Creative Health Careers Showcase
March 12 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Join us on the 12th of March for an exciting and informative all-day conference exploring potential career opportunities in the exciting and growing field of Creative Health; how taking part in creative activity can support a community’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.
The event has been designed to inspire university students across Greater Manchester to think about how your unique skills and interests can pave the way for career progression in this vital, growing field. Whether you’re an artist, dancer, passionate about museums, a psychology or medical student, or simply someone interested in creative ways to support health and wellbeing, the day will be a chance to match your skills and passions with this new approach to health and wellbeing in Greater Manchester.
You’ll also learn about the role of the voluntary, community, faith and small enterprise sector, (VCFSE) the key roles that artists and facilitators can play in these organisations and the potential for you to work with this sector in the future.
The day includes hands-on workshops, led by professionals from VCFSE and creative organisations, examples of potential career pathways, volunteering opportunities, and in-course placements. Whether you’re considering a future as a creative practitioner or exploring innovative ways to integrate creativity into the health, social care or voluntary sectors, this conference will spark new ideas and offer practical insights.
This is your chance to think outside the box, ask questions, and connect with others who are passionate about making a difference through creativity. The event is part of MYRIAD; a creative health initiative with a focus on global majority practitioners and communities in Greater Manchester and is open to all students.
The conference will be held in the Grosvenor Theatre in the Arts and Humanities Building, Cavendish St, Manchester M15 6BG, United Kingdom. Please arrive at 10am for registration and welcome drinks.
