Practice-based Conversations: Mapping Methods and Methodologies with Sara Davies

June 25 @ 1:00 pm 2:30 pm

The Poetry Library (round table) and Online via Teams

This is a peer-led event organised by Nicola Lewis-Dixon

Thinking about methods and methodologies in arts and design practice-based research can be challenging. There may be multiple methods involved, making it hard to pinpoint a single methodology that fits the project. The project might draw from multiple disciplines, each with its own set of methods and terminologies, adding further complexity to the mix. Additionally, the dynamic and evolving nature of this kind of research can call for sometimes unsettling shifts in approaches.

Have you recently read something about methods and methodologies in arts and design practice-based research? What methods and methodologies do you use in your research? Let’s gather and share! You could bring in something you’ve read, something you’ve written, or some interesting thoughts.
