The Manchester Centre for Research in Linguistics is pleased to invite you to our inaugural research symposium Linguistics in Action on the 28th of May 2025. Staff and students will showcase the work we do in the centre, guided by our aims of affecting change and addressing issues in social justice through linguistics research. Please sign up to this free event by 16th May. Refreshments and lunch will be provided for those registered. Places are limited so please register early. We cannot guarantee lunch for those who register later.

The event will take place face-to-face in G.26 at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School located at Lyceum Pl, Manchester M15 6BY. Registration and refreshments will be available from 9:00 am. The symposium will open at 9:20 and will close at 5pm.
