Transnational Popular Print in the Long Nineteenth Century: Hybrid Seminar

Transnational Popular Print in the Long Nineteenth Century: Hybrid Seminar
April 2 @ 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
This even will take place in Geoffrey Mantion G.09A and online.
This afternoon research seminar provides an opportunity to trace the transnational dimensions of print culture in the long nineteenth century. It explores the uneven dynamics of both popular and personal print networks, as conveyed across borders in a range of modes, forms, and media. Our guest speakers include Dr Jeroen Salman (Utrecht), Dr Clara Dawson (Manchester), and Dr Clare Horrocks (LJMU). We are also excited to showcase some of our own research talent. Dr Jodie Matthews will be delivering a paper entitled “Follow the Plants: Rhizomatic Reading Across Borders” and PhD candidates Sarah Dutson, Rebecca Alaise, Haseeb Khan, and Gareth Rees will be participating in a ‘PhD: Work in Progress’ panel.
Further info and registration for the event is available here.
Please Note: This is a hybrid event, which will be hosted in person and online via Teams. Please ensure you select the appropriate ticket.
This event is hosted by the Long Nineteenth-Century Network at Man Met as part of the North-West Long Nineteenth-Century Research Seminar. We would like to thank the Manchester Jean Monnet Centre for Excellence for their support for this event.
